I didnât know exactly how it would work, but as I walked into the Collins Commons, it quickly became clear. $5 later (donated to help keep our beloved station up and running), I was standing in line.
A few weeks ago, one of my close friends introduced me to a musical genre he coined as âEvil Techno.â This genre was unlike anything I had heard beforeâ dark, rapid, and charged, it sounded like something youâd hear while watching a movie scene of 20-somethings partying at a euphoric underground rave somewhere in Europe, clad in black clothes and moody makeup.

Pittsburgh-local band Merce Lemon had a great crowd, and an even better performance at the festival. After they killed it on stage, I snagged them for a bit to talk about their experiences as a band, personal opinions on music, and most importantly, fruit preferences.
Among electric performances from acts like Westhead, Evan Wright, and more, Ed Winn seemed to stand out as a highlight for many. He performed at 3 PM, following a very energetic set from Callejera.
