Flora Arthur

Flora Arthur works with a wide variety of subject matter, materials, and mediums, such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and embroidery. While she is often drawn to portraiture in some form or another, her more recent work has shifted towards the causes and effects of anxiety. During her brief time in IU’s Printmaking BFA program, Flora has started to explore using plants as a visual metaphor for both anxiety itself and a process of self-healing and recovery, and hopes to explore this concept more in the future.
