On Sunday night, Texas crooner Leon Bridges will make his first Bloomington appearance with a performance at the Bluebird. Bridges' debut album Coming Home was released in June to critical acclaim, and he will perform on Saturday Night Live tonight before making his way to the Midwest. At only 26 years-old, Bridges has managed to evoke the nostalgia of retro soul and gospel music in tracks such as title-track "Coming Home" and album closer "River." Citing his “Sam Cooke-esque croon,” Rolling Stone gave the record 3.5/5 stars and ranked it number 31 on their “Best Albums of 2015" list.
