In 2008 the American indie rock band The Format called an indefinite hiatus. It was a sad day and many fans have held out hope that Nate Ruess and Sam Means would reunite in music. But the two of them have been very busy. Nate Ruess went on to form and be the front man for fun. whose fame has sky rocketed much more than The Format's ever reached. The Format only had two studio albums, Interventions & Lullabies and Dog Problems, but boy were they great ones, full of witty lyricism and upbeat depression. In the mean while Sam Means has been following a solo career and has just released the lead single, "We're Alone", to his upcoming album 10 Songs which is due this January.
According to his website "I AM ABSOLUTELY THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE MY NEW ALBUM 10 SONGS WILL BE RELEASED ON JAN 22ND VIA HELLO RECORDS."
The all uppercase letters truly epitomizes his excitement. Frankly after listening to the shimmering soft rock single "We're Alone" I'm excited too. Listen to the track yourself.
