Our college radio brothers to the north, WSUM, have announced the line up for their annual Snake on the Lake Fest which will be held on Friday the 11th of September from 6PM until midnight at The Sett, which is right by Lake Michigan. WSUM is the University of Wisconsin Madison's student run station and is an avid supported of their local music scene which can be seen in the artists performing at their free music festival. The outdoor music festival aims to highlight local music "in order to celebrate just a piece of the vibrant music scene this city has to offer" according to WSUM. Past performers at Snake on the Lake Fest have included The Hood Internet, All Tiny Creatures, Saint Pepsi, and Wild Rose Harmonic. Below is a taste of the artists to hit the stage this year.
Burial Hex

Samantha Glass
Futuristic electronic ambient musics who's dreamy waves of synth and morphed vocals cascades into one another to create an almost eery indie electronic music. Samantha Glass - and her music which say calls "Bisexual Electronic" -also hails from Madison, Wisconsin.
Mr. Jackson
Self proclaimed "the only synth funk in Madison", which could very well be true.
Myrmidons
Spooky surf math rock, as if the Mystery Machine pulled up to a beach party hosted by some really hip ghouls and goblins. This Madison, Wisconsin trio is composed of brother and sister Courtney and Frank Jarman - who were previously in a bro/sis duo -along will Bill Villain.
Proud Parents
Madison made garage pop-rock made up of Claire Nelson-Lifson, Tyler Fassnacht, Heather Hussy and Alex Seraphin who this past April released a tape off of Turkey Records of their live set from Turckyfest. Proud Parents are lo-fi, loud, fun and self described as "jangle-chunk".
