Record Store Day is right around the corner and you better believe some of the local record stores here in Bloomington, Indiana are participating. With the endless options on the internet to be downloaded to disorganized folders, songs broken up into 30 second segments for possible purchase and easy digestion, or the top 40’s singles being blasted on the radio** the feeling of personal musical emersion might be thrown to the wayside (**not WIUX though!). But Record Store Day is a celebration of music as a physical entity in your life. Albums you devote time listening to, talking about, and loving from front to end. This year the Record Store Day ambassador is the coolest guy in rock and roll, Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana, ect.).
