As some of you may know, there has been quite the construction going on our street here in Bloomington, IN. Houses from the 800 block of 8th are being moved to the 700 block. WIUX, being directly on the corner, has the perfect view of these wonders of civil engineering as they roll these houses right by down the middle of the street. We have complied some photos so you can experience what we have been able to watch unfold the last few weeks.
The house had been waiting patiently up on wheels for the past week or so, it was only a matter of time before it began the journey down 8th Street. It is the first of several houses that are being transplanted from the 800 block, but this sight will always be something astonishing to see.
The house acting majestic, basking in the sun, feeling free and mobile for the first time. (This is personification, the house is an inanimate object which most likely doesn't have feelings).
