If there is one band to see live this season it’s Snarky Puppy. This instrumental fusion band is
comprised of nearly 40 musicians known as The Fam. Of course not all 40 members of the Fam
will be on tour with them because members routinely perform with other artists such as Erykah
Badu, Marcus Miller, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg and others. Snarky Puppy has released eight
fantastic albums that jump around jazz and funk since 2006. Their latest one, We Like it Here
was actually performed and recorded live, so the possibility of disappointment is non-existent
with these guys. What we’ve heard on the album can only be a sliver of excitement that is
actually generated live. Snarky Puppy will be stopping at the Bluebird this Tuesday, September
16, on part of the world tour. Tickets range from $20 – 25 and the show is 21+
