Assorted Great Things We Saw This Year:

And when I saw F.K.A Twigs in the press area at Lolla but was to nervous to take a picture.

Guilty Pleasures of the Year:

Jessica:

I mean I saw Death Cab twice within three months.

Oh and this song. This was my guilty pleasure of the summer.

....and this one too.

Kevin:

Lil Wayne's verse on "Only"

The Quan (and the utter confusion about what exactly it is. See :15-:17 below.)

I can not tell you how many times I watched this clip of Makonnen belting out some out of key gold in this Noisey clip. Upwards of 200 times...at least.

Any other thoughts?

Jessica: 1. Paul McCartney is still the biggest rockstar in the world. 2. The tectonic plates of music journalism shifted this year and the Big One is gonna hit us in 2016. 3. 80s synth-pop has been slowly creeping back and it's gonna come back full force next year.

Kevin: Fetty Wap is a fad, and is 2015's closest thing to Trinidad James. It was progressive house in 2013, trap in 2014, tropical house in 2015, 2016 will be the year for deep house and its emerge into the mainstream. I still can't believe that I like Drake now...shows what well handled beef can do for a rapper's career. Fingers crossed that in 2016 we will (finally) get albums from: Kanye, Frank, Jai Paul, and Jay Electronica.

..and don't you ever forget:
